Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
DayDone ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. DayDone has no account system, no login, and no analytics SDKs.
All data you create inside the app — including your daily tasks, task completion status, notification preferences, and theme preference — is stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device through the app.
2. Notifications
If you enable morning or evening reminders, the app schedules local notifications through iOS / Android. Notification content (e.g., "What are 3 things you want to accomplish today?") is generated on-device. No notification content is sent to or through our servers.
You can disable notifications at any time from the Settings screen inside the app or from your device's system settings.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
DayDone offers an optional subscription ("DayDone Pro"). Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) under their terms. We receive from the store only the anonymous entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features on your device. We do not receive your payment method, billing address, or Apple/Google account identifiers.
Subscription management (upgrade, downgrade, cancel, refund) is handled through your Apple ID or Google account settings.
4. Third-Party Services
The app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved in normal use is the platform store (Apple / Google) for subscription billing, which operates under its own privacy policy.
5. Children's Privacy
DayDone is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, this is true for children as well.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your data is stored locally, uninstalling the app deletes all of your DayDone data from your device. There is nothing stored by us to delete on your behalf.
7. Security
Your data is protected by the same device-level security (passcode, biometrics, disk encryption) that protects the rest of your device. Because we do not transmit your data off-device, there is no server-side data exposure risk from using DayDone itself.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surface the change in an app update.
